Cloxam LC Intra-mammary Suspension is a veterinary solution for the treatment and prevention of mastitis in lactating cows, buffaloes, ewes, and goats. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria causing udder infections.
Cows, Buffaloes, Ewes, Goats (during lactation)
Ampicillin Sodium (equivalent to Ampicillin) 75 mg
Cloxacillin Sodium (equivalent to Cloxacillin) 200 mg
Milk out the udder completely, wash with warm water, and dry thoroughly
Dose: 1 syringe per infected quarter every 12 hours for 3 doses
Insert nozzle into teat canal and apply gentle pressure to infuse
After infusion, dip each teat in an approved antiseptic
Do not use in animals sensitive to penicillin
Milk of treated animals should not be fed to calves during treatment
Evacuate udder completely and wash thoroughly
Store at 15–25°C in a cool, dry place
Keep out of reach of children
Meat: 7 days
Milk: 60 hours (5 milkings) after last treatment
